Are you planning on moving water lines for stacker? It should go on the right hand side. You don't want to be in front of the door loading and unloading, besides do you have another place to float the cabinet?

Hello, I am an old GW contributer and have been gone for some time. I love the laundry forum. What I do when I want to redo a room, is draw the floor to scale with all the features that are to stay. Then I cut out, to scale, elements and put scotch tape on the back of my cutout "paper dolls" I move them around to my hearts content. You can do this in a plan view and an elevation view. Very helpful for me. Its quicker than you might think. You can keep all your paper dolls in an envelop to keep for your remodel file. I keep files on all my projects-receipts, images, plans, ideas that I use and don't use. I especially make sure I have all the manuals and info about the things I do install. I have done 2 bathrooms, one laundry center, and currently Im on my mudroom remodel. I do all the planning, sub flooring, walls, tileing, painting. I leave the carpentry, plumbing, and electric to the pros.

You have to consider the locations of the hot and cold water lines, drain pipe, 120-volt and 240-volt electrical outlets, gas line (if any), and dryer vent all of which were located with the assumption that the appliances would sit side by side. You also have to consider the dimensions of the appliances and the required spaces around them (left, right, rear, above).

So is making room for the broom and vacuum the main reason for the desire to change?
