is it a fair price?

So a friend was having landscaping done and was getting rid of a lot of pavers. I said I’d take them. I loaded them all up and took them away after many trips lol anyway. He mentioned he’d sell them for $1 a brick. I didn’t realize how many there were. There are 3 different sizes. They are all about 2” thick and the square brick is 6.5” x 6.5”. The rectangular one is 6 1/4” x 4 3/4” and the small ones which he agreed to sell for 50 cents a piece are 6 1/4” x 3 1/8”. Anyhow I have 218 of the small ones, 970 of the rectangular ones and 969 of the square ones. That comes up to $2048. I never bought pavers before and I did all the work of taking them away. Is that a fair price or still cheaper than buying them from a store?
