Built-in soap dispenser: love it or regret it?

I'm planning to add a beverage faucet for filtered water, and now I'm considering adding a built-in soap dispenser too. I would love to hear pros and cons from people who have something similar. This model allows you to refill from the top instead of under the sink (which I consider a must) but I would like to know more about the day-to-day user experience. Do you love yours or regret installing it? Thanks!

    I love mine.

Love it. No more bottles on the sink top. Some people find them hard to use and I have no idea why.

    I like-but-don't-love mine. Thoughts:

    - It's very nice to have soap "at the ready" /no ugly bottle sitting out.

    - Filling the bottle is a bit of a pain. It's hard to tell "how close you are", and I always overflow the soap.

    - I think I'd like it better if I had a Never MT, which would mean I wouldn't need to refill it so often.

Love mine. Mine holds a small bottle of Dawn. I just squeeze the bottle and its filled. Until I figured this out, I would constantly overflow filling, making a mess of the sink. Just figure out how much it holds and you won't have any problems.

    They are great.

I like them, to not have a garish plastic bottle sitting around. But a pretty pump dispenser on the countertop would work too. I always overflowed my built-in dispenser - I buy the largest bottles of dishsoap, more economical - and it was one more thing that needed cleaning around the edges. I designed the new sinks so that I can add built-in dispensers, but haven’t been motivated to.

I don't use mine for dish soap, I use it for hand soap. For dish soap, I keep a mini-bottle of in the corner of the sink.

Love mine but I use it with the Never MT that Hallett shows. You can get a huge bottle of Dawn dishsoap and you do not have to mess with refilling that small bottle. I have one on my cleanup sink and one on my prep sink. The house is 7 years old. We still haven’t had to change out the big Dawn bottle on the prep sink and we have only had to change it out once on the cleanup sink. I think there is about 3 inches of soap left on current bottle. We used the Never MT in our previous house as well.

Like porkchop, I use my built-in soap dispenser for hand soap, except I have magnetic accessories for holding the small dawn bottle and sponge in the sink.

"...except I have magnetic accessories for holding the small dawn bottle and sponge in the sink. "

That is a good idea. I have a fireclay sink, though, so it wouldn't work. Eh, the sink is pretty big so the small bottle in the corner isn't really in the way.

I like them - no bottle tipping over. I used to put hand soap in mine but at some point decided to put dish soap in there instead and we use it for hands and for whatever individual dish or utensil that gets washed by hand. I still keep a bottle of dish soap under the sink for bigger dishwashing jobs.

I don't find filling it to be all that much trouble. It can get grungy so I like to clean around the top and the plunger piece when I refill. The idea of using the Never MT and never/rarely cleaning that part kind of bothers me.

Actually the stainless sink isn't magnetic either, the kit comes with a magnetic strip that you stick to the unfinished side of the sink, under the sink cabinet.

I don’t have one, but now that I’ve experienced dish spray, I wouldn’t want to use anything else.

I thought it was great but I didn’t always push straight down on the dispenser and kept breaking the plastic stem. I gave up on it and won’t ever get another.
