Those are all so pretty! I am really drawn to Sensational Heart. Yoga Man looks much more familiar now. It does great here. Is this the seedlings I should be sending you?

Another one bloomed, a large light pink flower, similar in shape to many of Davisson's

No Nancy, that's not the seedling I want. The one I wanted is a tall lavender UF. The seedling in your photo is Jurassic Pink X Bubblegum Queen. I think the last fan on the seedling you sent me is about to croak. I was thinking what you sent might have been the one in your photo since it had five fans at the time you dug it. Dancing Flamingo X Neon Flamingo should have had at least six fans, if not more. Could the large light pink be what I am calling lavender. I'd love to see a picture of that one. That could fit the description of Davisson's Divas in Diamonds. Didn't you take a couple fans of that one?

Sensational Heart stands out and I can see why Yoga Man has so many fans......Maryl

I bet what I call light pink might be what you are looking for. I found the tag buried a bit for the pink above, says Jurassic Pink x big pink. I will get a picture with next bloom. This 1st bloom was very pale, almost white til I looked close. I will look again, does not look like 5 fans, but I am not sure. Not home right now

Red Kaboom is a bright one. Sensational Heart continues to look bright and, well, sensational! Scapes on those against the brick look tall.

Just did a comparison of photos of your Kiss of Paradise. The color on today’s photo of Kiss of Paradise looks much improved to me too.

I am looking forward to see a photo of all those daylilies blooming by the wall of your house!

Your Kiss of Paradise is so much prettier than our is. Ours often has canoed petals. I like Red Kaboom and Sensational Heart. The veining in the watermark on Sensational Heart is what catches my eye.

Nan - I hadn't really noticed the veining in the watermark on Sensational Heart. Thanks for pointing that out! I like its very round form and the colors.

Sherry - Kiss of Paradise is just about finished blooming. It didnt' have many buds this time. The others along the wall won't start blooming for several days, but I'll try to get a picture of several of them blooming at once.

Kate, Nancy G. and Maryl - Sensational Heart is a standout. It will be interesting to see if it holds its color better here. Today's high temp was only 80 and it stayed colorfast all day. In Nashville, it was always faded a lot by noon.

Sensational looks very happy and healthy there. Bud count is not impressive, but it was, after all, just relocated. It looks dry next to the house. Is there an overhang?

Looking good especially Sensational Heart. Are these some of the ones you brought from your other garden?

Julia - Yes, all of these except Red Kaboom were brought from my Nashville garden. I shared Sensational Heart with two friends and kept a third of my clump.

Mantis - Sensational Heart does not have the lateral branching it did in Nashville. Bud counts there were 15-16 and all my scapes had one lateral branch. We'll have to see how it does next year, after settling in a bit.

This bloomed yesterday, more color than the 1st bloom. It looks like 2 fans only, possibly a couple fans closer to the Jurassic Pink seedling will turn out to be part of it though. They have buds so I will know for sure. I will keep a close eye on your seedling and get it to you this fall. Nice height on it!

Yes, Nancy! That's the seedling I wanted. It's always a light lavender, but darker than the photo. I wonder why it lost so many fans. Are many of your other blooms light? A friend in Nashville sent me a photo of Pink Aloha yesterday that was barely pink with cream sepals. I know it's not a lack of water, and I didn't think it had been particularly hot for your area and Nashville. Are the light colors the result of lack of sun. I know there have been many cloudy days with all the rain.

I have had several plants that 1st blooms are lighter. Pink Aloha had color, but blooms so far have been very blotchy, not the only one though. Jurassic Pink's were very light pink, and a seedling I have had a few years was so light I did not recognize it. They are all in full sun, but yes, so many cloudy days may contribute. Several plants are much taller than normal, but those are the ones that are registered than they usually grow for me, so actually at their registered height. I tried a different fertilizer this spring, so due to fertilizer or rain? several plants lost some fans over winter, not normal for me. I usually lose to crown rot in summer. Spinal Tap and Shutterbug have been in place several years are half the size of last year. Shutterbug is down to 3 fans. several others too. I assume due to cold temps.
