Blooming on Sunday

Finally, a day without rain. The daylilies still seem a bit slow because our temperatures have been rather low for this time of year. Maybe we just grow a lot of mid-late varieties.

Today was a day for small flowers and miniatures.

This is A Small Multitude. I need to take a photo when more flowers are blooming. You can't believe how many scapes it has.

This is a large flower (but the plant is on the small side). It is Sharks Do Bite.

I got only one good photo of a seedling. This is Fox Point X Randall the Runner. We hybridized this one years ago, but it has never shown the vigor or bud count for introduction. We love it, though, because of the saturated color and the veining in the eye. We will keep it even if we don't register it.

Wow! You really have a lot blooming now. I think my favorite is Sharks Do Bite. It has such a nice edge!

Things are a bit late, but of course, last year was way early. A cooler late May is the chief factor here. It will soon be into the nineties, which will be very unpleasant with all the humidity. Yes, Sharks Do Bite has nice veining and such neatly arranged ruffles and teeth. A Sattlemeier evergreen, I see.

I always like Little Lemon Twist when I see it. I bought Nutmeg Elf thinking it looked like this am not really liking it, but may keep it because it is so odd. I always like the look of George Jets On

Small Multitude appears to live up to its name! What a clump! I hope you do post a later photo of it. Sharks Do Bite catches my eye. I do love the yellow. I don’t blame you for keeping the seedling-it is striking.
