Lighting Design Dilemma Bathrooms

Where can I find a clear replacement glass bowl and finial that inserts and is fastened from the bottom of the fixture with a finial?

We have two of these fixtures, one in each bathroom. The cut glass candy dish look is not our style, but the fixture itself is perfectly fine. I'd like to not have to replace the whole fixture if possible. All replacement bowls I have seen online attach at the top instead of being held on by finial at the bottom.

If you can adapt it for a shallow bowl, here is a very plain option. Click the "Product Q&A" and there's a manufacturer answer giving the part number for the glass shade. Rather than finding a replacement that fits, it may be cheaper to replace the fixture.

Have you checked EBay?

or find a glass bowl at a thrift store and drill out the hole yourself.

All of the Wayfair and Home Depot ones have large holes to fit around a lamp socket where the bulb screws in. This needs just a small hole to put the threaded rod through.

@Lyn Nielson - I'm sure I can find a less expensive new fixture. It is paying an electrician to install the new fixture that gets more expensive.

It's not attractive and the quality of the light is not good. I'd replace it.

Select a simple surface mount light that casts better light.

A FLAT boob light?????

The one I suggest is also a surface mounted light. Requires NO ELECTRICIAN.

Man, you are right, it is totally a flat boob light! Like the sports bra of boob lights!

@palimpsest - Your suggestion looks good and I even found it on EBay. I just discovered that the long bottom stem unscrews so I can make it work with a more shallow bowl. Between your link and something on @elunia 's grand brass link, I might be able to make this work.
