Exterior refresh: outdated brick, painting vinyl— seeking help!

Looking to update the tricolor brick assortment on the front of our home. We are also looking to paint the vinyl and all white accents a darker, moodier shade.

What exterior moody colors do you recommend? We’re thinking a dark blue, not stark black.
What dark accents for the pillars, window frames, gutters, etc?
What to do about the brick? We’re considering painting it (but not looking forward to the upkeep/damage to brick). Another option is staining, but we’re not sure considering it already looks stained.

Just something to give you a bit to think about. You mention darker moodier colors. Painting vinyl can be done, but, it needs to be light colors. If you look around you always see lighter colored vinyls, and there is a very good reason for that. Painting vinyl dark, will warp all your siding in a very short time.

As to your brick, its very nice and brick is timeless, so I would leave that alone.

Show the full front elevation, tough to judge the facade as a whole when you only show a small portion.

Maybe you can find a color you like that’s only a little darker than your existing siding in a vinyl safe color so you don't risk warping. Those random black, white and red bricks would make me crazy too so painting the brick your siding color with contrasting trim could look great.
