Built a custom home in SW FL during 2021. Our builder suggested stained cypress. It looks just like it did when it was installed 3.5 years ago. We are about half mile from the intracoastal, so our exposure to salt water spray is only during hurricanes. We used it for our front porch and lanai. I matched the stain to the color of my engineered wood floors.

Thank you. We had stained cypress tongue and groove on the laniai of our house we just tore down to build this house. It was beautiful.

About once a year, my husband would apply a coat of teak oil to keep it looking new.
