I won't offer my redundancies on the weather, though plants and people are in alignment on that.

Still the One is so reliable here on nice tall scapes.

Rosie with a Ring is filled with buds. Impressed with that bud count!

Tar and Feather, a very large and gleaming flower, is very reliable here, even though an evergreen. Of course, people respond to pictures and say, "I have that one." Much more brilliant than others in this color range. And big!

Mai Tai. Did I mention that it is difficult to capture things in bright sunny skies?

In the Heart of It All. Big rich flowers, bursting with buds.

JP Moneybags also filled with scapes.

Destined to See. A bit short.

Jupiter's Eye

Clown Parade had tall scapes.

These Killer blooms were perfect.

Safe Island has made a tremendous display. I have gotten better pics.

Soft Summer Night

Lavender Green-Eyed Lady is hard to photograph in sun.

Plumcake Patty

Unfortunately, this shot of Gimmee did not show enough lavender. Another to come.

Coral Connection has huge blooms of an alluring color.

Aerial Applique is really quite attractive and has had good bloom in the earlier season.

Nice post! Not picking a favorite, I like them all! Well, maybe Clown Parade. I have not dug into Clown Parade in 4 or 5 yr, and last 3 it has had taller scapes. And with the taller scapes has come much better branching than it used to have, and bud counts too.

I love Still the One, mine disappeared after a move. The gardens are loaded with buds and daylilies seem densely planted, love that. Heart of it All is my faborite today…..any plant that performs like that makes the list regardless of bloom size. Everything looks so healthy, no yellowing foliage like I see already here. we are still in moderate drought.

Very pretty and a lot of them, Mantis. I like Plumcake Patty best but Gimmee...is always a winner.

Sun pictures are hard for me. The colors are usually off. My lavenders show more pink-the pink show less pink…

Gimmee looks good even without enough lavender. Still the One and In the Heart of it All caught my eye on first scroll. Killer is a nice dark one-mine is finished and was one with fewer buds this year but I do like that dark color.

My Still the One died, and it wasn't nearly pretty as yours. My Rosie With a Ring has a low bud count this time. It's good to see you are happy with the bud count on yours this time. Gimme Gimme Gimme looks pretty lavender on my screen. How does Lavender Green Eyed Lady perform for you?

I can still admire UFs in others gardens and Still the One shouts to me. Lavender Green Eyed Lady is a pretty color, and although its subtle color would turn blah in my heat, I like the soft peachy/melon on Coral Confection.........Maryl

Good to know what can stand up to this heat wave and I wouldn't know from these photos that your having a weather issue. They are ready and waiting for their photo op. Lots of buds yet to open. Stay cool as we all have a few more days to get through.

Gimme is always so pretty; so are Aerial Applique and Plumcake Pattie. Everything else looks good too.

Things are really getting stressed now. Some plants are definitely having an off year, with splotchy and bleached-out flowers. Another several days of this, and the garden will take a turn to the south.

Yes, I divided Clown Parade three years ago, and the divisions now have tall scapes. Helped along by the rain, I am sure.

Lavender Green Eyed Lady is an earlier bloomer on a tall scape. It has performed reliably. By that hybridizer that produced Painted Demon (which by the way, is all washed out this year). White is the hybridizer.

Rosie with a Ring has 14 buds with three-way branching. You may sneer at that, but it is good for the North. I divided it two years ago.
