Looking for true yellow climbers for 7b!

I tried a gold badge from heirloom but unfortunately it didnt make it. Looking for other options.
I definately prefer them to not be TOO full, more semi double or double but not very full. Debating on just trying gold badge again.

Do you have blackspot? Are you planning on spraying for disease? I do not grow many yellow climbers but I would love to try Malvern Hills from David Austin.

I dont plan on spraying except perhaps a little dish soap in water which has done well for my mom and myself with black spot. Its definately an issue in my humid climate but have had some success with defoliating when needed and rhe drop of dawn dish soap in water in a sprayer.

Edit: had a chance to look up malvern hills, wow a repeat rambler! really interested in this

I have a few that might suit your wish list. Bathsheba is a great rose here, but it is a densely packed rose. Not sure if Teasing Georgia is too dense. Golden Gate might suit your wants better along with Autumn Sunset. Although I don't grow Golden Opportunity, others really like it. it has AS as one of its parents along with Julia Child. i'm hoping third time's the charm with Malvern Hills....this rose loves to bloom is is remaining BS free, but it's too soon to comment on rebloom. Another charmer is Ghislaine de Feligonde. Rebloom on mine is poor, but it survives and thrives without BS in a sUper shady spot that has claimed numerous other roses! Lastly, take a look at Lemon Zen if you like singles. This is a very special rose...slight fragrance and tiny thorns similar to Mel's Heritage, if your familiar with that one. Very pretty healthy leaves similar to those on The Swamp Rose ie. willow-like. Her colour starts as pure yellow, but with sun it changes to pink which deepens. Reminds me of Mutabilis in that way. Looking forward to others' recommendations.

I also grow a Moscheta hybrid called Gold Blush which is another John Starne's creation along with Lemon Zen. I grow mine as a thorny bush where it forms a sort of thicket, but I believe it's sold as a climber. Perhaps with judicious pruning it would be a more traditional cimber. My neighbor successfully grew Lady of Shalott along a fence. Mine has some BS, but is not defoliated by any means

Of all I've mentioned, I'm partial to Autumn Sunset, Ghislaine de Feligonde and Lemon Zen.

Of the yellow climbers I’ve grown I like Golden Opportunity best.

I just looked up gold badge and it is a very beautiful and supposedly healthy rose. Why do you think yours didn't make it?

@vaporvac (not sure if im tagging right) but I have no idea. It just constantly died back. This is after a week. I cut it back where there was die back and now the whole thing is black. Not sure if heirloom gave me a dud or something about the site it didnt like. Someone suggested I was overeating? So i dialed it back and It just turned completely black rapidly

If it's a newly planted rose I wouldn't be feeding it anything besides water. Its baby roots may have been stressed. It's still alive! How hot does it get next to that white wall? You may find it better to grow it in a pot for a while before putting it in the ground.

    P.s. I don't think you've been overeating! LOL!

I don't know if this rose is too light a yellow for you, but I really liked Casino when I had it. It seems to be less popular than it should be, but at least it's not a rose that everyone has.

@Vaporvac Z6-OhioRiverValley oh its dead now. that was a week ago and its fully black now LOL i just thought the progression photo would be better than a black rose. also ha ha at over eating, auto correct, meant over watering

When you dig it up Check out the roots and see if they can tell you something About it's demise. Are they black do they look like they got too much water or what. How is your drainage?
