Tuesday's Torrid Treasures

The garden is starting to have lots more color today. I'm noticing a lot of blooms are much smaller than they were in Nashville - especially those planted in late October and early November.

Blue Jay Tapestry ffo - The eye and edge had a lot of blue tones today.

Bubblegum Queen started blooming on another clump far from the house. This is the clump with the taller scapes.

Heavenly Snow White ffo has short scapes and low bud count.

Razor Sharp X Spacecoast Night Vision

Unbound looked very pretty today.

Fancy Lace ffo - This evergreen really overwintered well. Scapes are taller than registered, and the budcount on the best scape is 18 - as high as it ever was in Nashville.

Royal Invitation ffo - This one increased in fans, but has small foliage, short scapes and few buds.

Buddy's Victoria Jade X Skin of My Teeth - Finally a clean bloom on this one!

Rosie With a Ring - Another photo just cause it looked so good today.

White Tooth X Skater #4 - This one has been throwing beautiful clumps with seven or eight blooms each day, but the photos just don't turn out in the bright sun. Here's a single bloom that I shaded with my body.

Rosie With a Ring is really pretty. The seedlings continue to look good. I like the color on Royal Invitation. Unbound does look good and Fancy Lace is so pretty with those ruffles. I can’t praise Bubblegum Queen enough this season. It is still blooming although the color is paler as is expected in this heat and humidity.

Kate - Royal Invitation was usually darker in previous years in Nashville, but I like its color today. I'm glad to know Bubblegum Queen is still blooming for you. It was always a good rebloomer for me. One of the clumps has an instant rebloom scape coming.

I always like the Skater seedling. Such a pretty bloom. Razor Sharp X Spacecoast Night Vision looks really good. gorgeous blue color on Blue Jay Tapestry, and, of course, Rosie With A Ring is a pretty one.

Among the named varieties, I like Rosie with a Ring, Unbound, Heavenly Snow White, and Bubblegum Queen. Among the seedlings I like Buddy's Victoria Jade X Skin of My Teeth and White Tooth X Skater #4.

Many pretty ones! Bubblegum Queen is my favorite, love the color and form. Royal Invitation,
Buddy's Victoria Jade X Skin of My Teeth, and Unbound are also beauties!

Kay, Nan, and Nancy G. - The Skater seedling multiplied some since last fall, but the scapes are about 8 inches shorter than the 34 inches they were in Nashville. Bud count is much lower too. I hope height and buds will improve after it settles in a bit.

Brad - I'm glad you like Bubblegum Queen! It's doing pretty well considering how much it hates being moved.
