It looks like you get a lot of light in that space. I think it could be very nice but I would go for a tile that has variation and depth vs one that is just solid and flat.

Lots of tiles that could go with TM and stained cabinets.

Some are going to tell you that your TM is "the star", but many slabs are not busy and just look like plain beige from a few feet away.

Visit your local independent tile stores for a wider range of choices that you won't find at big box stores.

I used this one in my previous kitchen with stained cabinets and Taj Mahal.

I used this tile in my current kitchen with TM, but this time I went with white cabinets for a change.

the shaker cabinets w the rich stain is enough for me....the taj counters keeps it subtle and I'd stick w some sort of white subway ..whether true white or off white. you have to try samples. i do like colored splashes many times but golly I'd stay really basic in this case ....whats there is really attractive. prop up various samples to really know.

There is no rush to choose the backsplash. It should be the last thing to go in ... even months after the kitchen is done!

It took me 5 months after we moved into the new house to decide on the backsplash. My builder sent the tile guy back when the tile was delivered.
