I love the second photo of Flight of Doves. Purple Dwarf called my name today. I like the shorter plants in front of the border. I am running out of words for your posts, everything is gorgeous.

Thanks Sherry. Purple Dwarf would indeed make an edge plant. The ”dwarf” most definitely refers to height and not blooms! The edge on Flight of Doves showed up more on the earlier blooms. These later ones have been almost white.

Can't believe the two photos of Flight Of Doves being so different. I knew there had to be a cat in tht photo. Must show us all of him/her. All the blooms look great. I planted Zinnias here but it is a shorter variety. I like that purple one. Hibiscus is so pretty. I grew High Water Mark and What's Up Down South in NYS and they did great.

Julia, so many that are blooming now are much paler than first bloom. Regina Sitko comes to mind as one that is showing half the color! Do they bake in that bud stage?!!Because I am seeing them when they first open and not after they are in the sun for a while.

Yes, that is one of my outside babies. His mother is the other. She was dropped off with four babies. I found homes for two, one was run over in the road and I kept this one. The mother also hung around. Of course both have had vet visits!!JJ is a hoot in the garden and frequently runs like the wind from one garden to another with mockingbirds diving him. He shelters among the lilies until it is safe to come out. He also rides in the golf cart with me.

You still have so many pretty clumps blooming. They are all impressive! It's good to see Summer Snowball. Mine looks like it will have plenty of buds this time. I didn't know if it would do well in the North since Sherry's never bloomed.

I haven't seen Flight of Doves but it is gorgeous! mmer Snowball is too die for. I am so glad Pink Butterfly is blooming for you even if the tree is shortening it. It looks great. High Water Mark is so pretty in your garden, Kate. You have so many lovely clumps and they do keep blooming and blooming....and putting up rebloom scapes It is to hot, I am tired and I need to get the knee fixed....I can't stop while they bloom even in the heat and I see you can't either.

Worth it for all that beauty.

Debra, all that rain also aided tremendous growth of two shrub roses in one of the big daylily beds. Then, all the mud kept me from trimming the roses. Those two roses are mightily encroaching several daylily plants and Summer Snowball is one of those. I hope yours does well.

Kay-I like Flight of Doves too-in both looks! Pink Tarantula will be better next year as a major clean out of that area will take place. There are others in that area that are also underperforming including two Reimers. We are ”supposed” to get three days of rain next week so rebloom will continue!!

Regina Sitko is pathetic here in the heat. I don't think there is any chance that it will improve before the heat attack ends. You are fortunate that much of your bloom occurred before the devastation.

Merlot on My Mind sure makes a beautiful clump! I also like Summer Snowball and Pink Tarantula. Your hibiscus is beautiful!

I like the pattern on Merlot on My Mind. It makes quite the impact.....That is unusual for more color to appear later in the season on Flight of Doves. It's pretty either way though......My Summer Snowball pumped out about a half a dozen blooms last year, seemed to make it through the winter, then promptly died out during the rains.....Maryl
