I think all of us are suffering from extreme heat. With heat indices in triple digits I only photo and walk the garden at first light. Even then the colors on many are much lighter.
You Are Mine today at 6:30 am. The color is lighter than usual but what a well budded cultivar!
Flight of Doves today with following photo earlier in the season. They hardly resemble the same bloom
Beginning to bloom is Cabenet Caberet
Still blooming like this every day-what a plant!!! Merlot on My Mind
Another winner-What’s Up Down South
Christopher Moody is still lovely on rebloom
High Water Mark still looks good
Explosion in the Paint Factory with Garden Butterfly and Shuffle the Deck in the background
Purple Dwarf -huge blooms on short scapes
Thank Your Lucky Stars is another one that is faded in early morning
Pink Tarantula ( thanks to Kay) is blooming short due to growing trees in the background. My garden buddy walks the gardens with me every morning even before he eats.
Forsyth Garet Mason
Eviction Notice-I cannot get this one to show its beauty. It is huge-7-8 inches -but the center dominates my photos
Summer Snowball is just beginning-I think the weather is stressing it
This is a short-28/30 inches-hibiscus that is about 4 feet wide-these blooms are indeed dinner plate size and do not fade or drop in the heat. After mowing yesterday my husband even asked what it was. Trust me when I say that says it all about its wow appeal!
And believe me, I will be saving the seeds on this zinnia!
