What color area rug for this room?

I want to buy a rug for this small condo living room but am not sure what color, pattern etc would work. The sofa is a darkish grey.

Lowered the art on the wall

Placed a taller plant in the corner

Changed out the table lamp

IMO a patterned area rug could work here.

I like the first one under the blues that 'Olychick' posted but can't seem to find it on rugs.com ? I am in Canada so will check on rugs.ca

Love the calm, peaceful feel of the art; I'd try to echo that in the rest of the space. Maybe near-solid rugs in either a deeper blue from the art or a charcoal? (Can't tell which photo shows the colors more accurately, though.)

Anything but gray. You have a gray sofa, gray floors, gray cabinets, gray table....

Any of the rugs with blue and orange/red/yellow would work, and would really brighten and enliven the room.

I’d head lighter/softer, given the darker flooring and couch and suggest incorporating more of the chair’s color vs navy.

The rug below would pull together your wall color, flooring, and coffee table. If interested, some sizes are out of stock right now, but I think its characteristics/colors would work well and make your room feel less heavy.

We have a wool rug from Feizy and has held up nicely. A nice light color will brighten the room.

Ours is out of stock but something like this:

I found a photo of our rug:

I found this wool hand loomed rug on sale on Wayfair and would snap it up in a heartbeat.

Oops it says dry clean. Spot cleaning is probably okay.

Floral that brings in the gray/beige?

More colors in sweeping curves?

Colors and curves, but with lighter background dominant?
