built-in tub help

I don’t like this rounded corner drop-in tub. If the bathroom is being retiled, does anyone have any ideas for how to improve it, or do we need to go through the whole cost of completely tearing it out and doing freestanding? I don’t love drop-in tubs like this, but the rounded part is what I really don’t like most. Thoughts?

Only real way to get rid of it is to tear it out. Since doing new tile now would be the time anyway.

Just tear it out, and cap the pipes. Then do a bigger shower, without the weird angles. 9997/1000 actually uses those "pretty" tubs. They are a huge PIA to get in and out of, or to have any necessary stuff surrounding you. Looks like the vanity could stand to be enlarged as well. You can do a nice sit down area in front of the window. And all is possible if you junk the tub.
