looking for leather motion sofa

We are in mid 70s
Looking for good quality leather motion sofa. Found a FlexSteel style in stock and at good discount locally. That is not a full leather sofa but somr form of leather on front/touching parts and vinyl on back and sides I believe ( even though sales guy didn’t mention that). We can also order an American Leather brand sofa in all leather for more money.
I would like this to be last sofa I buy. I don’t redecorate often. If we like it, we wont change our minds in 3 yrs.

Will paying the extra money for better leather be worth it? I think the mechanics likely to be same—warranty is about equal on that.
We have bought other leather furniture and the faux doesnt hold up but supposedly the FlexSteel leather is full leather—just on on entire sofa like the Am Leather brand.

Take a look at Omnia Leather. They offer many reclining all top grain leather sofas made in the USA. They also offer a good warranty. You can choose from manual or power recline on most styles.

Flexsteel is not good furmiture. I had a dealership with them that lasted less than 6 months as I saw too many flaws in construction and quality for my store, and promptly got out of it. It's inexpensive though, so if you want to buy based on price, and can accept mediocre fit and finish along with a no-name mexhanism that is usually made in China,, its OK for the price paid

To buy a motion sofa, you always want one that has either a Leggitt and Platt or Ultra Mek motion mechanism in them, those are the two best on the market. Bot tjhose mechs are made in the USA. All motion sofas are nothing more than a frame and cushions built around the mech, so its important to have the critical piece be the mechanism itself. You can see the manufactuer labels on the footrest portions of the mechanisms if you extend the footrests to the open positions. Most salespeople in the store will not know the brand of mechanism, so look for yourself.

Buy it in .a top grain leather and do your conditioning / cleaning every 6 months and you should be good to go.

Hancock & Moore makes best in class, but it will be pricey. I like Bradington Young in that space as its still using all the quality components and will be 30% less than H&M, but check the comfort fit before you order. Some B-Y doesn't have the right pitch angles and heights, it depends on the model.
