Coral Corduroy is such a pretty form and color. Rethink Pink is calling to me though, love that look.

Yesterday Memories is one that you've long celebrated! Rethink Pink is one that I seldom see offered. It's not that new anymore. It must hold up to the heat though for you to affirm it.

Thank you Nancy. Rethink Pink has been a good grower for me. Kate got me onto it with her Substantial Evidence. Richard Norris was the hyridizer and he was going for that big bold face look.........Your right Mantis on Yesterday Memories. Good memory. Hard to believe that the one in ground is in full Oklahoma sun and doesn't fade away to off white. That in itself is worth keeping as a pink......Rethink Pink also does well in our heat. The yellow color becomes more mellow by the late afternoon in really high temperatures, but the substance is still very good.............Maryl

Last photo of Yesterday Memories is so pretty with the other flowers. Rethink Pink reminds me of one that Kate posted called Pinewood Lily Pad. I could end up trying to get both. :-).

I love the shot of Yesterday Memories and all the flowers around it! Coral Corduroy is always a beauty, and Caroline Grace McGee appeals to me with her shape and color. All the rest are lovely.

I agree with Julia. That photo with Yesterday's Memories is just beautiful. As were Julias photos, it loos as ig it should be in a magazine. I very much like Coral Corduroy . That is a beauty worth putting in the garage to keep. And Rethink Pink is a very nice one. I like the bold face.

Maryl, Coral Corduroy is always so pretty. I enjoy Yesterday Memories as I had it years ago but lost it in the great vole invasion. I love Rethink Pink! And I have Caroline Grace Mc McGhee sitting in a pot!!

Even old ones like Yesterday Memories can still have a place in the landscape.........Debra: I knew you would like the pinks - Caroline Grace McGhee is remarkably sunfast here. A good trait to pass on if possible - just sayin'-lol..........Thank you Kay. As I was deadheading the other day, I thought of you and your 2 hours worth of deadheading. We do like our daylilies, so we do what we have to do -like garage them over winter...........Kate: That's interesting that you also had Yesterday Memories. I'm sorry about the Voles. I'm waiting for dragons to suddenly make a come back and show up tramping around in your garden. It's about the only creature left that you haven't had to battle (hint St. George is available)... Carolyn Grace McGhee should look great in your garden. We can compare notes on pot versus in ground stats........Sherry: Thanks Sherry for looking. Daylilies still amaze me at how changeable the color/blooms can be. Why 3 years is a good rule if there is any doubt about keeping it. I have a few newer ones from last year that were marginal but I held them over to this year. They had put out nothing but sun battered blooms so I decided to pitch them. Then today I see two of them put out picture perfect blooms. What's changed? Decisions decisions..Maryl

Maryl, you are so funny!! I think all of us could list some critters of devastation!! Grubs, rabbits, deer, red bugs, voles, snd yes, even a cow for me!! I’ve had dogs chasing rabbits or other dogs through the gardens, cats making their beds on top of the lilies, and mole runs through the beds. Gardening is never dull!!!

How coincidental you mention the critter bed problem. Over winter something made a bed out of my 35 year old clump of Happy Returns. Left it in such bad shape I had to remove it. Too big a bed for our ever present rabbits, so I can only imagine what was sleeping out there over winter. Kind of scary in suburbia............Maryl

Coral Corduroy is such a pretty bloom. It has a pretty shape and such nice smooth color. I also like Caroline Grace McGhee and Libby Gallion.
