Garage door bottom gap - how to fix?

Dear all, thank you for your help in advance!

We recently did a remodel project and installed a channel drain in our garage. During the process, the contractor removed some concrete under the garage door in order to create a slope to help the water going into the drain. However, this made the garage door can not 100% closed (there is now a gap between the bottom of the garage door and the floor). Is this something that I can DIY to fix it?

I have tried to use the "up" and "down" button on the garage door opener (motor, see this youtube video: https://youtu.be/RpHplOoPE7I?si=7QEJhVxaUGDmp7CZ), but that didn't help.

If there is one thing DIYers need to avoid, it's garage doors. GN is correct; get a pro.

It didn't help because the track is up from the floor, even if it did work, the roller would come off the track.

With the door closed, what is going on at the top of the garage at the header? Is there room to lower the track and the opener? If you end up with the gap at the top, the header can be packed down.

It's hard to tell from the picture; your best bet is to get a garage door guy to assess the situation and see what the options are.

And I might add that people of all strips need to avoid whomever did the work that left door like that. If I were faced with this the first thing I'd do is sling that contractor around by the hair on his head. After that I would remove weatherstrip, install rubber strip equal to gap then put weatherstrip back on.

I'd google the rubber strip for the bottom of a garage door. You might find an easy solution.

Assuming what is shown is what the entire door is like:

I would add a 1X2 across the bottom of the door. Depending on the size of the gap you may need to shim it down, use a 2X4 or a cut down 2X4.

I would then go down to the local big box store and buy their standard rubber strip for the bottom of the door.

While you are there asked one of the long time employee for recommendation.

I am surprised the the guy that installed the gutter did not make a recommendation.

Personally this would have been resolved before the work on the gutter started.

Hi, try a section of foam pipe insulation. It's slit down the middle to fit over the pipe. Adhere it to the bottom of the door maybe with 2-sided tape. The pipe insulation comes in 2 sizes for 1/2 or 3/4 pipe. I used this idea on a heater room door, works great. Some time we have to think out of the box.

Looks like two solutions.

Install new track that goes to the floor.

Get a extra thick floor gasket (or whatever they are called) for the bottom of the garage door.
