@lyn I don’t plan to change the living room but yes I can do that in the kitchen. What are your thoughts on adding calacatta viola marble someplace in the kitchen

eclectic living room w various details on vintage..mixed w some modern ....pastels with creams for colors ....keeping it soft and subtle.....thats what is shown altho the furnishings are few. Given that scenario and your interest to bring that vibe over I dont see the rough wood plank shelves with over simplified black brackets works all that well. at eye level is where details contribute or not. You could replace the shelving ....opportunity ...Depends on if you might have interest in some doored cabinets....maybe some glass fronts mixed in....or just painted shelves with more detailed brackets..is that about 12 feet of wall space? have you ever thought of painting the exposed floor joists at the ceiling and installing an LED light display woven through for atmosphere ?

a miniature version of this ceiling..might be worth some paint...an led light design and installation. your ceiling has a rough appearance there in the living room..

Paint the cabinets to match the beige front wall color.

Soft pink towels, a vintage rug, replace the shelves/brackets and drawer pulls with brass tone hardware that is more antique in style. I wouldn't invest in the marble on top of this cabinetry. A dramatic choice could be to paint the cabinetry a deep wine color from the marble!

I would srat by redoing the open shelves with a bit less industrail brackets and stain them the sma e as the rafters in the LR An antfatigue mat in maybe pink I do not like flimsy rugs in kitchen they are a tripping hazerd. Beyond that I need to see the whole kitchen post the new pic here in a comment. Some much more interesting lighting for sure which BTW you also need in the LR. . I like the cabinet color it works with the glam with restraint look you have in the LR do not mess with thta vibe with garish colors

It's not necessarily about expensive, dramatic marble backsplashes. If you want budget friendly changes for now, here are some suggestions:

Add an antique mirror somewhere and definitely a beautiful little lamp. Keep utensils in an antique pitcher. Get the paper towels off the counter.

This is too country but as Patricia suggests, replace industrial brackers. Look for boho/glam brackets. Then paint the shelves creamy white from the tile. Curate what you put on the shelves--some art, some interesting vases/glasses/antique dishes/bowls, maybe an antique mirror--old and new. Put your paper towels under the sink, and keep your countertops both practical and beautiful.

None of this should cost very much. Your living room is unique and beautiful. I would keep that mirror there--very Parisian somehow.

Not everything has to match perfectly in the two individual spaces. The two images below are both from the same design, in the same home. Please notice the fireplace surround, along with the furniture in the living room. Then look at the wood cabinets, countertops, backsplash, and hardware in the kitchen. The black hardware is used throughout and the black is what integrates both spaces. Since you seem to have some antique pieces (the antique mirror and sconce), perhaps look at doing the same color for the hardware in the kitchen and look at incorporating some pink with a pink tea kettle, or rug. Finally, you might consider replacing the shelves with glass front cabinets, or see if you can find antique looking brackets to use in place of the black brackets.
