Visually it would be more pleasing to the eye to have the curve align. Go for it if not too expensive as it will annoy, you every time you look at it.

Made an error in my own kitchen reno and it annoys me endlessly.

☝️yes. Otherwise I’m the guest in your kitchen that will impale herself on that on a regular basis.

I would consider rounding off the protruding corner, so have a "S" curve. Looks like a painful collision waiting to happen.

Ditch the bumpout entirely. It's a dated affectation.

I second John Liu's excellent suggestion to round off that protruding corner into an "S" curve.

The sharp corners (on both sides), in an area of such high traffic of heavy pots and pans, is just begging for a nasty chip or worse, and any repair would be front and center. Listen to John, he's giving you excellent advice.

This area seems ripe for marble chips and dings and black and blue hip bones, but it seems too late to push back the bump out now. Yes, align the counter with the blue vertical mark you made AND make the corner softened like John suggested.

Beautiful colors and windows. Hope you post a pic when the space is complete. It seems gorgeous.

Why even do the bump out? I would have had the spice pull out in line with the rest of the cabinets.

Not so fast please. We may be witnessing a kitchen designer who has taken the time to read and comprehend the appliance manufacturer's installation instructions which require additional clearance to the combustible wall.
