Friday's and Saturday's Highlights

I've had well over 100 photos to catalog over the past two days. Depending on how one wants to define successful when visiting a daylily garden with 4000 cultivars. I purchased 5 additional plants to go along with the one I won on the Lily Auction in late winter. The Lily Auction one is called THE BEAST. Additional purchases: The Gift of Giving, Double My Sunshine, Bluing, Cosmic Disclosure and Mister Mayor. I will post images from my trip in another post.

So many to like here. Opening the post with soft skills was a winner. Hits Different is a pretty bloom. Blood Sweat and Tears is a good color.

Lots of deep purple range colors. Which is why Freida Allen Jarrell stands out. I've heard good things about her. I ordered her once but there was a mix up and never received her. She's pretty......My second favorite of this batch is Forest god. I like that big open face and texture.............Maryl

Fire and Water I see is a Benz. I know how you like Frieda--I do too, but she is such a slow multiplier here. Great to see Soft Skills, with its beguiling blue tones. Out of Garden Butterfly, I see, which has narrow segments. How clean has Tramps Like Us been? Nan's took a while to establish, but yours seems to have taken off.

Tramps Like Us took about 5 blooms to clear up. At first I was not impressed and then when I went out to the garden one morning, I saw this bloom and was impressed. Subsequent blooms have looked like this. I planted it last August.

Love the toothy look of Tramps Like Us, but Forest God is so pretty in form and color, my favorite among many pretty ones

Beautiful flowers! My favorites are Fire and Water, Blood, Sweat and Tears, No Ordinary Child and Alpha and Omega. Tramps Like Us looks great. After having a good year last year, ours is not doing well this season. It is back to being short with few flowers.
