Decor accents on the buffet?

last year
last modified: last year

I finally got my framed artwork back and it is hung up above my buffet.

Thank you to the people on this site who helped me with getting the buffet and the two chairs set up in a certain way to help balance the space. It really did help.

I have the little pink artificial plant on the side and I do like it. Maybe it’s a little tall, but I think it’s pretty.

Would people normally put knickknacks or small things on the buffet?

Aims, remove this and post this one on your original. Most who see this will not have any idea of what went on before and the commentators on the original post may not see this one. So your lovely thank you will go unheeded.

Hang it higher. Nudge the chairs a smidge away from the buffet so they are not touching it and have a bit of room to breathe. I concur that a larger pot for the plant that takes up some more decorative space would be great. I do something other than white because you have so much white in your artwork.

I would like to have the chairs not so smooshed to the buffet, but to the left of the buffet is where my dog's food, water, and bowl are. To the right is where my Roomba is plugged in and charging.

Here's a visual of my suggestions. Move the 2 chairs away from the buffet. Move the art slightly higher on the wall. You need a stronger print for the curtains, they look too light for the furniture you have. Try your chairs 2 & 2 facing each other. Placemats on the table only at meal time.

find another place for the extra chairs, repot the orchid and add another piece of pottery.

I don't think you need another item on the buffet. Could be an optical illusion, but the art does not appear centered on the buffet? The rumba can charge under a chair and well the animal dishes where you eat...again fix the obvious first.... Even if it's just for the sake of this post! The distraction is causing misdirection.

I agree that the chairs seem wedged in. Also, how much clearance do you have between the buffet and the chair nearest it? That space seems tight as well.

    Try chairs at the table.

Get a real orchid they last for weeks and save the fake one for the bathroom if you must. I odten just go to the florist and get one brnach of fresh orchid in a nice heavy vase and replace it every so often. The vase also gives you the ability to change flowers when ever. The art is cool the drapes blah it would be nice to see a single color drspe in a color from that art . I aslo agree the space looks crapmped with the chirs shoved up next to the buffet. Dog food bowl never in a DR EVer

Is the orchid real , or fake? If it's real it needs to stay in it's clear plastic pot inside that cache pot, not be repotted.

    It’s fake!

The fake orchid is fine. Not everyone can afford to (nor wants to) just keep buying new orchids, if they even live anywhere that they are available.
