Including pictures of what the room looks like now, the photo that will go above the bed, and the nightstands. Looking for ideas for paint colors or wallpaper styles for the wall behind the bed.

Is the bedding staying as is? I would paint it to match the other walls. Get thicker curtain rods, yours look insubstantial for the panels. Get a colorful pillow or floral sheets

Question - in person, does your bed have a yellow tone to it? Is it cream, off white, ivory? The head board looks like it has a bit of a yellow undertone - however, the foot board looks more neutral.

Are your sheets navy or a charcoal that just looks like navy in the photo? I think getting rid of the current color on the wall behind the bed is a good idea. I wouldn't use an accent color. I would find a nice paint color that works well with everything else (bedding/art/carpet/bed/etc.) once you have those items all selected.

I am not sure what the style is for the rest of your home - but I feel like the photo in your post doesn't work well for a bedroom - however, I'm obviously not a designer - so feel free to ignore this comment.

I don't like floral sheets personally, but you could get some type of patterned sheets (floral/striped/checkered/paisley/etc.). I would definitely add some colorful pillows + a throw or tucked in coverlet on your bed. You also should add different textures to your bedding.

Mixing whites does work - as long as your bed doesn't have a yellow tone to it. This wall color in the below photo looks nice when mixing whites. FYI - I am not suggesting the furry pillows or the "love" pillow for your room - I just like the wall color in this photo with the white quilt and the "linen color" tufted wingback headboard + the printed sheets.

Below is a room that looks nice just using white bedding with an off white upholstered bed (I'm not into the glam look - but the room works). There are layers of bedding + different textures that have been used.

Here are some more ways to style your bed which will make the room look more upscale/"completed" -

You obviously don't need a tray on your bed or "Mr. and Mrs." pillows, but the color combination of the bedding in the photo below looks nice (very light blue with a texture to the duvet cover) + the pops of charcoal and pink.

If you want to keep your white duvet cover, you should add a throw or coverlet/quilt across the foot of your bed + add an accent color or two + some textured + maybe some patterned pillows:

The tray in the one below is also not needed - you could do the bed with or without the throw on the corner. The floral pillow in front + the two soft sage Euro pillow add some nice calm color to the room:

You also can use a tucked in coverlet/quilt + fold your duvet into thirds and place it towards the foot of your bed:

Here is another way to use your bedding. This one has the duvet turned around so that the ties at the end of the duvet are shown towards the top of the bed next to the pillows + a quilt is used over the bed (not tucked in like in the other example I added above).

Quince has some European linen/cotton quilts in some nice colors that would work with your room (similar the one shown above).

Below is an example of what jck910I commented above - make sure that you put your flat sheet on upside down (that's the way it's supposed to be put on your bed) that way you can see the floral print when it's turned down over the coverlet/quilt (then you can either tuck the sheet and quilt in around the mattress or leave them untucked if you like that look better). The duvet on the bed below has again been folded into thirds and placed at the very foot of the bed.

A quilt/coverlet has also been used on the bed below (tucked under the mattress) with the duvet cover pulled down a little over 1/3 of the way and then folded back up in order to see the embroidery that's on the top part of the duvet. The white Euro pillows add texture + the chambray blue ones add more texture with the added fringed edges. The 12x20 pillow in the front adds a print + some more texture to the bed.

Quince also has some pretty organic cotton channel stitch coverlets at a decent price. I think this blue is really pretty and calming for a bedroom:

Quince also has this European Linen stripe quilt set - it comes in different colors (the photo is a very soft color called "Mist" - it looks pretty with the linen pillow cases and sheets (also sold on Quince):

I was trying to find bedding ideas that included white duvet or coverlet and/or an ivory/off white/cream upholstered bed. Most of the rooms in the above comment had very light off white colored walls.

However, I think this room below is also really pretty:

Pottery Barn is always a good place to look to find different bedding combinations. I am including a few from PB below:

This last one is just another example of using different whites on the same bed - but it has a blue wall instead of the more light neutral painted walls in my comment above:
