Have you tried the sectional on the entry wall? with the TV opposite (so it's not in front of the windows) and the table on the wall where the sectional is now. I would get rid of the ottoman. It takes up too much space. Get a rug that is 2 foot smaller all around than the room. Large art over the sectional

One problem seems to be gray walls and a gray sofa. Is painting possible? You need some art work and an area rug. If you can move the sofa to entry wall as was suggested, that might also help. Good luck!

These are great ideas. Just remeasured the entry wall area and unfortunately the chaise part of the sectional would hinder the entry into the room.

I would spin the sectional onto the left wall, with the chaise along the windows

Put the dining table and chairs right inside the opening on either wall one side butted up against the wall.

(if you use it as a desk, either wall will work for additional wall mounted storage.)

Another option would be to have the back of the sectional to the window with tv opposite. The table could be centred on the entry wall with a chair at either end.

I don't have the dimensions of your room but would this layout work? It doesn't look like you can flip the chaise on your sectional to the other end near the window but if it can, all the better!

Such great ideas. This is an apartment for just one person. We tried the sectional when you first walk into the room but just too big. Blocks the entry

We ended up getting a fairly neutral rug and it really worked. Art work and pillows next!

what about a small round table with 2 chairs in that corner where the table is now?

Hi. I would mount the tv on the far wall and put the little desk and chair under it. Then I would divide up the sectional and arrange the pieces around the l.r. with two of the seats directly facing the tv. You could extend the long chaise out from the corner left of the window. The ottoman takes up a lot of space. IMO the couch is too big for this room, but since you have it, consider putting the ottoman in another room and rearranging the pieces separately.

Someone mentioned having the TV on the wall above the dining table. Here's another furniture layout idea with plug-in sconces at each en of the sofa as you probably don't have room for end tables. This layout also provides an inviting view into the living space.

To add warmth,- curtains, pillows, colorful art and accent pieces. As shown in a couple of the examples. An area rug will make the room feel even smaller than it already is. You have a challenging space for sure!
