Think about solid, in a deeper color than the blue(?) or green in the rug... or maybe a slightly deeper color of pink to help the ottoman blend in better.

I’d use the same throw so as not to feel too busy. Your rug is lovely and let it draw the eye. Found this one…inexpensive and washable.

Buy six identical ones for dogs and snacks. Three in the wash, three on the sofa.
