Hey everyone,
I recently had my bathroom remodeled, including new wall tiles in the shower area. It looks great, but I’m worried about long-term moisture buildup behind the tiles.

The contractor used cement board and waterproofed it, but I didn’t see a vapor barrier or membrane being applied before tiling. Should I be concerned? What’s the standard process to avoid mold or water damage behind the walls over time?

Would really appreciate advice from experienced remodelers or homeowners who’ve dealt with this before.
