More Instant Rebloomers Starting

last year
last modified: last year

Several more instant rebloomer have started flowering in the past two days. Other than the ones pictures, So Irresistible is reblooming. But the flower was so bug-eaten I didn't post it. The Color of Wonderful also has two instant rebloom scapes on the way.

Blue Jay Tapestry started reblooming yesterday.

Bill Norris started reblooming today.

Pink Extraordinaire X $exy Samantha #4 began reblooming today.

Fancy Lace began its instant rebloom a couple of days ago.

The Ultimate Sacrifice continues reblooming.

Summer Kate with its last bloom. This Ed Davidson intro was one of my longest bloomers here this season - just over five weeks. It performed better here than in Nashville where it was overshadowed by daylilies with taller foliage.

Dearest Valentine has four rebloom scapes now. One of these flowers is on a rebloom scape.

It is wonderful to see you are getting rebloom. I was wondering how it would be in Indy. How nice to see rebloom on Dearest Valentine and see inprovement on Summer Kate.

Dearest Valentine appears to like the new home! The Ultimate Sacrifice photo looks great. The Pink Extraordinaire seedling is so pretty!

Kate and Sherry - So far Dearest Valentine is the best in the rebloom department with those four rebloom scapes. Most that are reblooming have only one rebloom scape, and there are a couple with two.

I rarely get any rebloom. I'm not sure why. Fuchsia Dream [2 scapes], Coral Majority and a couple of my seedlings are, but that's about all.

Pink Extraordinaire X $exy Samantha #4 is so very very pretty!! Wonderful to see! Ultimate Sacrifice and Dearest Valentine are also very pretty.

debra - From what I understand, the farther north you live, the less likely you are to have rebloom.

Brad - I would think with all the rain you've had this season, you would have more rebloom this year. Mine get more hours of sun per day here than most got in Nashville. Which of your seedlings are reblooming?

I must have missed this. Have you seen any difference between what rebloomed in Nashville and what is reblooming in Indiana? Of course some of your daylilies haven't settled in yet........Bill Norris always gets my attention. I never tried it thinking it was more gold then yellow and some shades of gold are too intense for my liking. It looks very good for you.....Blue Jay Tapestry is a pretty thing. Good coloring on the center.....Actually all of them are nice to see as the season draws to a close........Maryl

Maryl - There is less rebloom here in Indianapolis among my registered daylilies. And, among those that are reblooming, I usually had more fans rebloom in TN. I'm surprised to have this much rebloom at all. I was warned by daylily growers here that I likely wouldn't see much rebloom. Bill Norris is more of a yellow gold than an orange gold for me. As far as I'm concerned, it's still one of the best yellows out there. Thanks for the comment on Blue Jay Tapestry. I do like the flower even though it's never been the 5.5 inches registered. It tends to be 4.75 inches for me.
