Thoughts on this layout

Consulted with kitchen designer regarding my kitchen and this is is her layout. The cabinets were ordered and have bern delivered to the showroom but I have not taken possession of them.

Im not sure if the corner cabinet configuration with sink will work I dont see how the plumbing could be accessed for install or anything else. The layout is staying the same except the dishwasher is being moved to the right of the sink. I think a corner cabinet might be a better choice. What do you think?

a counter depth refrigerator, for sure.

I'd like to see the whole kitchen, and the sightline as you enter.

Do you have a view from the sink or just natural light?

I just ripped out my kitchen in large part because of the corner mounted sink. Dishwasher on one side, trash on the other. With both open when cleaning up, you're trapped in the middle.

You probably could have gotten a 42" corner sink base - if the manufacturer offered it. Many only do the 36" cabinet which only fits a standard single bowl sink. If the cabinets have been ordered and are at the store, there's not much you can do now.

I do not see how you can make changes now without incurring major costs and time delays. They are made, technically they are yours.

You’re basically getting the same kitchen again, not much better, definitely not worse. And your cabinets will be new - whatever you got will be better than what you have now. As for improvements at this point, it is what it is, so maybe let that go. I bet you will be pleased with the refresh.

Your concern doesn't make sense to me. Why wouldn't you be able to access the plumbing for install? It is currently in the corner and you intend to keep it in the corner.

I presume that in order to purchase the cabinets you signed a contract and approve the layout. What does the contract say as far as how much you still owe and what you are obligated to pay? This order was made for you and usually whether they are sitting in a showroom or in your kitchen, you are likely obligated to pay for them.

I really dislke corner sinks in fact any angled walls in kitchens . Too late now to ask for help the cabinets are in the shop. Why was this sapce not redesigned when you took on the redo and I garee no reason to not be able to access plumbing it is there now.Did you have an actual independant KD or just the cabinet shop one who can only do what the software allows ? I think now whatever you get is the only choice or pay big $$$$$$$ to change.

You owe for what you ordered. If you want to make changes at this very very late time, then you will need to spend money to do so. This should have been thought about 6 months ago, with your hired independent kitchen designer. Not a cabinet order taker.

I have a corner sink with dishwasher to the right and stove to the left, and it's a great setup. It's pretty rare that when I'm acessing the dishwasher that my stove needs to be opened, so that's not an issue. If you had two cooks working together a lot it might be different, but with just one it should be fine.
