In the center is the parking area. The dot is the house. The garage calls for a two car garage facing the street. Attached and behind this structure will be a single car garage.

What is "barn siding", and what is "traditional siding"?

Around here, barns tend to have vertical siding, traditional is clapboards.

Around here, barn siding is usually T-11 or metal sheeting, with old barns being the wood ones- usually vertical or horozontal above vertical. Traditional is usually horizontal wood or vinyl, with a few other materials being less common.

I think if you did tradional in grey, it might look like the garage belongs to the grey house instead of the stone/brick house.

Maybe board and batten siding. I like metal roofs but I think the roof should at least be similar to the house, design wise if garage is next to the house.

I agree, the roof should be the same as the house. You may want to paint the siding, whichever your choose, to a close match to the house itself.

If the stone house is yours, gray siding would be your last choice for your new garage. And its roof should match the house roof.

I’d do plain old horizontal lap siding in one of the lighter colors of your stone.

Consider a garage with front facing gable to balance with the gable on the house.

Add some trim to the front which relates to your stone home.
