No. If you remove the wall, you are creating ONE ROOM. One room should not have multiple choice tiles. If you remove the wall, the kitchen floor needs to match the room floor. And the kitchen selections need to coordinate with the other room selections and colors. If you want to keep everything different, then you keep the wall.

One floor. Don’t chop it up.

Part of the expense of taking any wall down is the need to unify the floors involved into one floor. If that isn’t the plan, then it is a bad plan.

The good thing about lvp is how easy it is to lift it and reinstall. Which means you can distribute the new cherry lvp among the material that was installed in the dining room. Of course, you should get a very close match.

Then it’s more likely to be engineered hardwood than LVP. Ask a flooring company what they can do.

The top hardwood layer thickness will determine if it can be sanded to raw wood and refinished with new flooring so they both match.

There’s enough variability in the floorboards that I don’t think you’ll have much trouble. You certainly should be able to get close enough not to have to refinish.
