What reads stark or yellow is strongly affected by the other colors in the wall--especially the colors on the wall. What color(s) is on the wall?

Whites are hard as the subtle difference in the paint chips is hard to catch. I find BM paint stores have very good consultants and get sample pots. Also if you narrow down to a few, read up on their characteristics/undertones.

I live in an old house with chunky trim - SW dover white looks great in this house - not yellow but not stark. In my last house in atlanta, Bm white dove worked well

i feel your pain - just painted a bedroom SW greek villa and it looks like primer… sigh.

If you're not going to change the wall color then you need to look at warmer whites (apparently). Without knowing the wall color we're working in the dark here. But if you are going to change the wall color, Pure White is actually a great choice for trim as it will go with a lot of different wall colors. What else is in the room? If you post a picture to give us more context you will get better advice.

@la_la Girl it goes to show you that paint colors are relevant to the room you are using them in. Location, Natural light, artificial light, window coverings, and furnishings etc.

I have SW Greek Villa in a bedroom and everyone says it looks like Celery. lol

That's why everyone needs to Sample, sample, sample.

So true @Lyn Nielson - it is my own fault bc i was rushing to get it done and ”didnt have time to sample” ugh - lots more time will be spent repainting, lesson learned again 🙈

Photos of a room's four walls will help. Do you have lots of green overhanging branches outside the windows?

@la_la Girl, on the bright side, your white-primer-looking Greek Villa walls now cast no color reflections on new paint samples.

My interior house trim is Sherwin Williams Westhighland White and it is creamy without reading too yellow. I absolutely love it's warmth!
