I like your idea to go lighter yet complement the stone. These are just some ideas to consider. I would get rid of those shutters on the top left, and if budget allows update the entryway door. Keep the white trim going on. Then landscaping updates will have a big impact to enhance the appeal.

You’re right to change the house color to something light to blend with the stone. A very light tan maybe. A bronze for window trim as suggested sounds great! Throw away those itty-bitty shutter-like thingies.

The bright white doors and trim are wrong too. Try bronze there and see what you think.

Those old and tired evergreens all need to go. Powerwash the stoop and steps.

Here are some raised ranch exterior colors that are light. The landscaping, windows, shutters, etc. add to the feel of each house, which you can do as well.

Working with the stone works really well, or adding a knockout front deck.
