Your living room arrangement works. Do pull the sofa away from the window about 10" or so, though, for airiness and to add some textured ivory drapes and possibly some bamboo shades in same wood stain as coffee table.

I like the wood coffee table and leather hassock. If you ever spot a leather armchair with open frame, small proportions, not too heavy, it could go on the right to create a conversational grouping. (Space might be too tight, though, but just putting it out there.)

Please, Don't put any furniture on the diagonal in the corner. You don't need a rug under a dining table. The living room looks fine, you can pull the rug out a bit, if you need to fill the room. the front legs of the sectional ON the rug.

@lyn: Good point about dining rug since more of the light wood floors would show without it and balance the dark furniture.

For the entry way we might suggest looking into some hooks for the space instead of the mirror with the hooks. If you're wanting to add more to the space, you might consider shoe storage and perhaps some pillows on the bench.

You have a lot of room in the entry. If you want to keep it looking nice but still be functional, consider getting a refinished sideboard/buffet (or finishing it yourself) and using that for shoes. We just put one in our entry for shoes and it's a lifesaver. There are 2 shelves inside, and we put boot racks in to help with storing shoes in the winter (precautionary mainly - we won't be putting snow soaked boots in here).

I'd also consider a coat rack, if you need a place for coats.
