I think that's too sophisticated for a toddler. A child needs to be surrounded by children's themes, not adult themes.

Yeah...I guess it depends on your kid. If you have one that's really neat, likes things in their place, and appreciates decor, then go for it. I know one child like that. Nothing is ever on the floor, her play room is immaculate. She has a big girl room that was just finished for her (she just turned 9).

My kid is not that way. If I did that kind of makeover to my child's room, I would probably either be constantly yelling about how she's beating up her "nice" stuff, or I'd have resigned myself to having spent a lot of money on stuff that is getting trashed. I'm grateful that we bought Ikea furniture for her room and a fairly inexpensive bed frame (and EVEN MORE grateful that we have cultured marble counters in her bathroom and didn't choose anything nicer). Everything has had stickers on it. I have cleaned off marker, play makeup, crayon, paint, snot, SLIME (the worst), glitter... you name it. And all I do is shrug and do my best to get it clean, all while explaining for the zillionth time (calmly) how to take care of her things, and knowing that I'll have to explain it a million more before she's old enough to appreciate a "nice" room.

Just make sure you either have the kid for this kind of room, or that you are a mom that can let it go.

Otherwise, I think it's very nice. Put some art on the walls, I guess?

IF you are hanging draperies---use fabric with a print. Do you not need shelves for books?

This was one of the rug options we looked at when my daughter in law was doing granddaughters nursery, which has sage walls and blush accents. Might be something nice and whimsical for the room.

Books, books, books. Hang low shelves and display books. Have big baskets of books. Put a big soft billowy cushion on the floor where she can lay and flip through books.

I don't mind the very adult looking decor, but now add some more playful elements with a more kid friendly patterned rug.

Get some large Ikea picture frames and have her draw or paint things to hang in them.

What does your daughter love? Which outfits is she drawn to, which toys? I like the wall color, but would choose more kid centric bedding and area rug. The color palette just feels very adult.

Thanks all. Drapery is something I was going to change to something with more color. For the rug, i wanted something more neutral so that it goes with any drapery changes, art and bedding, gives me ability to rotate it. Adding bookshelves on one side of the wall. And more color through pillows, storage ottoman, and art work. Wallpaper is on the list but not now. She loves all things pink and girlie, and really like these duck prints from Etsy. Was planning on finding cute animal prints to hang. Lots of smaller details left as these are the basic layer for the room.

She is going to spill drinks, color on and add nail polish to the area rug.

My sister purchased frames that open from the front and uses them to display her grandkid's art work - has the hallway from the garage to the kitchen lined with them so she sees the art every time she goes to her car. The kids love giving her new art for in the frames.

My niece painted a wall in her kitchen and a small framed area in each kids room with chalkboard paint so she can keep track of things or leave the kids notes.

How old is your daughter? You are changing her room from a "toddler room" to a "big girl" room. However, that might mean that you are changing it at three years old - or it could mean 6-7. Most people don't change their children's rooms immediately when they turn three (or four).

I changed my daughters' rooms three times before they went to college. Obviously, I selected the items/colors for the initial room. However, I let them help me pick out new duvets/quilts/throw pillows/decorations - and then we went to the paint store - and they helped select new paint for the walls. It actually was a lot of fun. The girls would be excited all week about spending the next weekend shopping for new bedding + other items for their rooms.

Your mood board looks very grown up - it's pretty - but it looks like a room for an older child.

However, it's your child and your house - so, do what makes both of you happy.
