What is the light primarily for, decoration or function? Is the size proportional to a blank wall, or will there be furniture or wall hangings there? Why are the doors not placed properly against the corners?

It will have a wall hanging below it. What do you mean with the doors?

A sconce is just another wall mounted fixture. So I like to define a "sconce" as a fixture at head height to make the differentiation of where it is located. So that means it needs to coordinate with a hanging picture beside it.

If the fixture is mounted higher than the hanging picture, then it still needs coordinated with the picture, and the width of picture then will determine if it should be centered on the wall, like if the picture is really wide.

For the doors and doorway openings, a typical width of rough framing to a perpendicular wall is a single jack stud with a king stud = 3". This is what door hardware ("knob") length, door stop length, and typical 2 1/4" casing is perfectly suited to. The Laundry indicates otherwise, and the Bedroom is even longer. Often it is just a graphical error on the part of unknowing drafters, unless you have 7 1/4" casing or have furniture behind it, which then should be noted dimensionally (like the cased opening is dimensioned to corner).
