Sirius 909 insert sizing for dual fuel range

Hello,

We are planning on a 36" dual fuel range. For the vent hood we would like to get an insert. The sales person is suggesting a 34" Sirius 909 insert with 1100 CFL for this 36" range. But not sure if the 34" inch sizing is appropriate. Any thoughts/advice is appreciated.

Hood entry aperture should overlap all burners/pans on burners such that rising and expanding cooking plumes are captured and contained. The stated insert doesn't have any reservoir volume under the baffles, and baffles only partially populate the width. Such hoods should be measured by the baffle area width. 42 inches or larger is required, and if a design like the Sirius 909, even wider is needed.
