For paneled appliances I like to use appliance pulls that match the other pulls in the kitchen. You have enough going on in the kitchen with two different cabinet colors and pull colors, so I wouldn't add one more different thing. It also makes it look like you picked a pull that did not offer an appliance sized pull and had to look elsewhere for them.

I personally would hate that much black - I could see black pulls on black island as that will ‘disappear’ but 24” black pulls on white oak will look gawdy IMO. If you really want black I’d suggest going minimal with it. But if you go with a softer looking metal like polished nickel, chrome, champagne bronze then I think the longer pulls look better. What is your faucet and counter and sink?

You may be correct it could be a lot of black handles. We are not opposed to champagne bronze handles on the white oak

I don't know your whole home aesthetic to know if the black handles everywhere will be too much. It is too much contrast for my taste, but everyone likes something different.

As for using different handles on the appliance doors and pantry doors and if it is a design flaw. Designers may find this to be a design flaw, but in reality no one other than you will ever notice or care.

I have a friend who has a design showroom and shows all the different finishes in her powder room - mixing one finish on the faucet, two different finishes on each of the handles, another for the drain and others for knobs and pulls so that people can see what they look like. No one ever notices until she points it out when they ask to see one of the finishes.

This idea that people don't notice things was further confirmed by my sister's eclectic, whimsical personality.

My sister started out with 2 cabinet finishes and 2 colors for her knobs and pulls. Then about 10 years ago she went on vacation and found a woman selling unique hand crafted knobs, many in various shapes. My sister was in love. . . she has slowly replaced all the knobs on her white cabinets and drawers with different, unique knobs. My sister has a larger home and hosts our family gatherings about every other month. About 6 months ago my brother asked her about the knobs - he just noticed after 60 visits to her home.

Think about some of the homes you visit regularly - not one where you go to cook every day, but somewhere you go and have dinner or go to watch a movie multiple times a year. What color knobs and pulls do they have? Do they all match? Do any have a decorative trim piece?

If your like most people you can't remember because you weren't focused on their selection of knobs and pulls.

I agree with @la_la Girl and @chispa - I wanted my appliance pulls to match my cabinet pulls, and I agree that the hand feel was very important to me. Like you, I'm using the Brizo Litze faucet with a knurled handle. I wanted knurled pulls, and something not too skimpy. FWIW, I ordered and sent back many samples and settled on Emtek Select. Those appliance pulls are a bigger diameter than many of the alternatives, which just looked and felt too skimpy to me. Also being round they feel better to me than the ones I tested with a flat or squared back.

Of course what's important is how the pulls function and feel for you - so I'd recommend ordering samples. (Check the return policies.)

I'm all for mixing finishes and sizes. Please be aware that an appliance pull is very different than a cabinet pull. Ref pulls are usually thicker and project more. They are also very heavy and use a thicker screw. You can use a regular cabinet handle for a dishwasher, but paneled ref, need the appliance pulls. Those pulls are typically too bulky and heavy for a cabinet door.

I don't care for the pairing you are showing above ( unless you are picking one or the other ).

Good luck - keep in mind - sometimes less is more.
