Here is how to post a Design Dilemma to get the best results. (Post only one thread on same Dilemma. You can add photos to original thread.) You need to show the whole space—all four sides of an entire space—even if it’s about one specific Dilemma. Commenters need to see doorways, windows, closets, finishes throughout the space to make informed suggestions. In open spaces, Commentors need to see adjacent spaces like living, dining, family room areas that adjoin a kitchen. This is so finishes like cabinetry, paint, and flooring harmonize in the whole space.

Provide approximate measurements

Get a nice vintage console and set up a coffee and tea station there.

Or a cabinet the width of the nook for large serving pieces, cookbooks. It's too small and claustrophic for sitting in there.

I'd put a big plant there and call it done. Either a hanging one, or a good sized one raised up on a stand.

Thanks for the extra photos. With radiator there, and tight space, options are limited but could be fun and useful:

--Again, space for an interesting antique cabinet or console to use as a coffee or tea station since it's close to the sink, and folks can help themselves away from food prep traffic.

--Bookcase for cookbooks if you're a serious cook and have a collection. Or attractive kitchen related cookware, pottery, etc.

--High table for plants and herbs

--Baking station with marble top, Kitchen Aid, great mixing bowls, etc.

--Upholstered hall/dining bench with a back if you like company in the kitchen during meal prep or a party. Check Ikea and Wayfair for "dining bench," "hall bench" that fits the space.

Radiator cover with countertop for a coffee nook? Is there electricity on that wall, or could there be?

Dog bed or cat tree. Don’t have a dog or cat? Get one! 🙂

I do have a dog and did think about making that her bed but am not sure what to put there that’s not just a mat on the floor.

Put your dog’s food and water bowls in the space, and if you don’t have a pantry you could get a small cabinet to hold kibble, treats, etc in.

I think it will be a much better place for the dog bowls than where you have them by the counter stools now.

Paint the radiator to match the wall. It needs nothing else! Dog bowls is a good idea.

There is a functioning radiator there, correct? Dog food and water are supposed to remain cool, I’m not sure having them in front of the radiator is a great idea, but feel free to try it now that your heat is probably off.

The place for the dog's bed is ideal, in my opinion. In addition to the rug, you can store the dog's toys in a basket there. Also on the wall, where the hanging shelf is, I would place a gallery of small photos in frames and under glass. For example, different photos of your dog and where you are together. I would look for a separate place for food.

If you do place bowls near your dog's bed (this also depends on the size of your dog and how neat he is), then try to zone them somehow.

Another option is to create an additional storage area there (for example, a rack near the wall with a built-in shelf). The rack is on wheels, for easy cleaning. Then close part of your niche with a rattan screen with a rounded top (if your kitchen chairs remain).

Where is the venting for the range, or it is a down draft?

"You don't have the floor plan" that should have been created long before you started messing with the kitchen, and you don't have the floor plan that shows what you are doing with a new kitchen! I call that temerity at best. There's another word I won't use.....oy!

Build a screen front or slatted front solid top radiator cover at a height of 34.5", depth of 24 and 25 with top. Put a counter top on it, and make a coffee bar, put some shallow float shelves on the right side.
