I think it would be better to consider black handles and faucet. Your candlesticks are too massive for the island, it would be better to find another place for them.

i would leave the faucet nickel, idk who really wants to notice a faucet. Try just putting some black tape over the pulls to see if you like it. personally, , honestly I think the pendants are the problem.

The gold thing will be gone soon and then what new fad will you choose. I like the space as it is add the gold in a bowl on the counter or a wood one filled with gold balls

Suggest instead, pulling in the dark bonze in the lighting, which will feel warm, but also create a connection. Buy lots of options to test (that can be returned), as that’s the best way to make up your mind. You can decide on the faucet later on, but it ties in with the hood and the appliances.

If your main goal is to warm things up, change the runner, accessorize to suit, including the space on the left next to the double doors. First consider the color(s) you prefer and color repetition will connect/warm up kitchen.

If interested…for added warmth, consider a softer/lighter window treatment that either starts above window or curved into arch. It doesn’t have to complement the zebra blinds in the adjoining room.

l love my runner AND I did recently consider going with a lighter color, but i have grown kids that visit frequently. LOL!

An oriental style runner with red in it would look lovely. It would not show spots. I raised four kids with oriental rugs and they held up beautifully.

Just make sure that you like the FEEL of whatever hardware you are considering. It's not only about looks, because something you touch multiple times a day should have a pleasant feel in your hands.

The style that Maureen shows above can be a pain--I've heard that your clothing can catch on those edges.

Yeah, those ubiquitous open end pulls are real pocket catchers/rippers. They’ve been so overdone, thanks to HGTV, and have become passé.

Even if you don't have a good hardware store near you, order one of each that you are considering and decide then. I've used RH for cabinet hardware, also try Rejuvenation, Top Knobs, for quality products.
