The island pendants hav to go

Put a proper vent hood over the range - or get it off the island.

This looks like a recent remodel, so it would be a shame to tear everything our (unless you could repurpose them elsewhere) to move the range.

I presume this is an AI image of what you intend to build. You will get much better feedback if you submit actual drawings noting the layout in imches. What you are showing is just a pretty pic of finishes but doesn’t give enough info about measurements and placement.

The most obvious thing here from the pics is no hood/vent. You need to either add on above the island, or - and much preferred- move the range to the wall and add a hood above with exterior vent.

Are the colmns for support? I do not find them attractive.

Does the door next to the fridge go to a pantry?

I dislike AI renderings. I dislike the island cabinet color with the flooring. I dislike the wood as it looks to haphazard and out of place. The wall cabinets look like a glazed finish and looks off in my opinion. The refrigerator is in about the worst possible location as the right door will not open due to the wall being there. The upper most row of wall cabinets look like an after thought and are to high up to be of any use without a step ladder. You need to move the range to the wall so you can have a proper hood and vent system, what is shown now is useless. Overall the color is just kind of drab.

You really need to post a scaled drawing of the space with all the dimensions listed. As noted above, your refrigerator will not open correctly with the way it is shoved against a wall. I would also want to have a pro look at the layout and (in addition to fixing the fridge issue) move the range out of the island.

it has a cohesive look and overall a light feel. For resale I would do nothing. If you have lots of time and discretionary funds with no other priorities for spending money you could make the case to completely redo this kitchen based on the less than ideal appliance placements. Just depends on the situation of the person involved with this. I might get a dark and moody table/chair set up and rug ....for more contrast...a good spot with the existing contrast of beams helping......leave the island pendants but change the table fixture.

if the issue is invigorating things....swap out the table/chairs.

As @AnnKH points out, the ventilation is unacceptable. I’m also not a huge fan of the lighting.

The window over the sink is undersized. It should extend up to the crown molding, and re-sizing it will give you an unexpected quality and quantity of light.

If that wooden framing of the space is required for structural purposes, consider painting it the same color as the walls. No need for it to stand out, it’s not a feature, it’s a limitation.

I dislike the entirity. The awful wood posts and beams really detract from everything. But the prime sin is relying on renderings too soon rather than working over a scaled design plan to perfect the layout before the badly done rendering poisons your ability to imagine.
