While we can’t really see your stove very well, you basically have two optiond, stainless steel or white. Stainless steel makes a bolder statement, white will disappear into the wall. Something gently angled or curved would be nice, but all of this is personal preference.

I often wonder if some of the more oddball posts on here are AI bots, or worse, trolling the good Houzz people who are here to offer professional help and advice.

Wow. I was definitely mistaken thinking I could share my vision for the new kitchen in the house I just moved into. i had no idea that was frowned upon here and I apologize. Many of you could have been much kinder in your comments. I am not a bot or a troll. Just simeone who thought showing my vision would help.

Here is the actual kitchen. The current vent is under the microwave which is above the stove.

Post a really accurate drawing of the existing kitchen on graph paper... include every wall, every window, any dining area, where you enter ..all of it.

Well I will start by sayng AI has a place but not here , You start by posting a to scale floor plan of the space ith only the walls and plumbing shown , every window ansd doorway marked , where the doorways lead and every measurement clearly mrked Post it here in jpeg foramt in a comment . You will get real adice from pros who do his for a living not some robot. BTW all drawers for base cabinets is a must sorry the robot needs to go back to design school/

Is the wall your stove is on an exterior wall? I ask because ventilation will be so much easier if it is. If it is not, we have some scheming to do. We can figure it out with the floor plan.

No, unfortunately it is an jnterior wall with a hallway behind it. Great question.
