Could be "blue rug"?

I've been sifting through specifications for varieties for hours. :^)

I'm not 100% sure but there's one selection that comes close to matching mine and that's J. horizontalis 'Hughes'.

The reason being it's the only one that matches the color and mature height of 18-20" which is more in line with what I remember seeing at the parent plant.

I have 'Blue Rug' and it lays flat at 3" height with a blue green summer color.

What is it that might make you think that's the one?

Yeah, pictures posted on the internet, can make it difficult, even from established plant nurseries, because they can be a little suspect in relation to validity of identification.

The ones in your picture look a little too flat and not as 'silvery blue' but I know pictures don't always do justice to a plant.

They've just recently 'bull dozed' a very old and massive planting of these, for highway improvement, here in town, similar to those I collected my cuttings from and they were taller than knee high (but had terraced branching with 'switchbacks' making the plant possibly higher than maybe a younger specimen would be?).

For now, I'm going with Hughes because of its greater mature height (I've found no others) although I still have time to change my mind if someone suggests a closer Canidate, because I'm not making new identification tags until later on next winter, maybe spring.

To add for clarity: When I said not as 'blue' in my statement above, I was referring to 'Silvery blue'.

My blue rug is blue but bluer/green not the light, bright blue as my Hughes in the above photo.

Had a little time today.

Added variety name to the existing tag and filled the letters on the dark patinaed copper plate to improve visibility.

We'll see how long it holds up. (It's not your eyes; my camera make it look like a Halloween photo).
