Is that the actual slab and have you already purchased it? Have you considered how those dark undulating waves are going to look once they are laid out on the counter? It is not the best piece of Taj I have seen.

What else is going on in the bathroom--tiles, floor? What is the style you're going for? Do you have any inspiration photos?

I like the vibe in the first photo you posted, so in that case, the darkest color wood for the vanity would be good. But you need to select the tile at the same time as the vanity and counter top to make sure you like the way they all work together. What I do not love about the first photo are the three different tiles--walls, shower floor and bathroom floor all different is just too much. Whatever you select for the shower floor would be good for the rest of the floor. Or the same tile in a larger size.

I have used a similar color quartzite on both white-painted kitchen cabinets and a dark-stained bathroom vanity. The stone color is neutral enough to work with either of your choices.

None of the above. All those stains are TOO WARM TO GO WITH THAT STONE.

The finish needs to be COOLER in color.

I agree with other posters - warm tones may not mesh so well with the slab you have. Cooler colors will probably work better.

If the shower wall is what you love most? A solid counter top is just fine. You only need so many stars in a show, and honestly more baths suffer from making the vanity top the star. A counter top...is different in a bath situation, than a kitchen. Get a non compete with anything.for the top.: )

The stain’s shade would be my very last decision. Shower tiles and flooring are huge decisions as their influence will have a bigger impact + finding ones that work well with your counter will be harder than stain. If you haven’t already settled on the taj mahal, a less busy choice will be easier to complement though.

Think big picture, test lots of combos.

We picked the shower tile. Bedrosians celine. And floor is ivory porcelain that has a limestone appearance.

Can you show examples..big picture is key in the stain decision. Have you painted yet?

I used a similar color quartzite, Mont Blanc, on my kitchen countertops and my powder room / guest bathroom.

I happen to have a sample of the Bedrosian's Celine in glossy white. I am attaching two photos. One photo shows Celine alongside the tile I used on my kitchen backsplash (Pratt&Larson glazed ceramic tile in an almond color). The second photo shows my quartzite with the tile I used in my shower, a porcelain tile from Ann Sacks that mimics travertine and is so close in color to my stone that they blend together.

I think that Celine is too grey for your countertop choice, or at least for this sample of Celine, which has a V4 variation.

The problems is that Bedrosian Celine tile isn't a "white shower tile" - it has a v4 variation rating = highest variation rating for tiles. So - you need to see an entire box of the tile - not order a sample. You can order one through HD - and are able to return it to the store in 90 days (I believe that is right). You don't have restocking fees or shipping fees.

It also comes in matte and glossy - I don't know which one you're looking at - glossy will be busier than matte - however, matte will still be busy because both matte and glossy are rated V4.

Also, you may not notice all the different colors when you just look at several tiles. I ordered Bedrosian Cloe White tile (the tile in your first inspiration photo) - when I put several tiles on my island, I didn't see much of a difference between the tiles (and was disappointed because I ordered it because of the color variation). However, when I put them up against my backsplash + took a photo of them - the many variations in color were clearly apparent.

Also, your floor tile doesn't look white to me.

I like your first inspiration photo - I have a shower with Bedrosian Cloe White tiles installed in a vertical stacked pattern. The shower tile is pretty busy though - I went with a solid floor tile so it wouldn't compete with the shower tile.
