Hello all,

I like a linear chandelier that comes with down rods with choice of sizes. I need to know if I have to use a down rod or could I use a shorter down rod to expose the cord? I need to do this in order to move the location of the chandelier (about 15 inches) more toward the center of the table using a ceiling hook for the cord to hang from (see example below). Will it even look good? I have tried to find the same type of linear chandelier that drops down with chain or cord only, but can't find any. Thanks in advance for your help.
