How would window treatment "compromise the integrity of the windows from the outside"?

Do you mean the view/look of the windows from the outside?

Why do you need window treatments? Privacy? Heat/light control? Decor?

privacy. i dont want to see half a roman shade blocking the window from the outside.

Inside mounted Hunter Douglas Duette shades. Attach them just in front of the window. When raised they will stack up no deeper than the trim & sash at the top. Get bottom-up/top-down for maximum flexibility with privacy. Get the 3/8" size for slimmer profile.

I have used them in several homes. This time around I even have them wired and automated.

thank you!

I would pick inside mount bottom-up top-down shades. Each window gets its own shade to keep the design integrity on the inside as well.

Hundreds of colors or prints allow for the perfect match.
