Sprouts of the are coming up all over my south-side garden patch. I tried digging it up, but they aren't individual plants. They seems to have an extensive underground runner system. Google Lens points to several possible plants, but staghorn sumac seems the most likely. I must have dug and pulled up 8 or 9 shoots today. If we weren't having a drought, it there would likely be a lot more of them. I probably didn't get all of the underground runners, either.
