It's an Italian produced quartz. Quartz has 34% resin by volume. It will scorch if you set a pan from the cooktop or oven with a temperature of 300-400F. Do not put anything hot on the counter.

Santamargarita Tibet (not tiber) is not engineered stone made with quartz; it is engineered stone made with marble although the resin content is similar. You'll have all the staining, scratching, and etching issues of marble unless you have it treated with More Anti-Etch.
