Can we pleaase see thye space IMO sliders really do not suit a colonial home so pics of the space and the sliders you are looking at I would proba bly do 4 with the center 2 siding open

Have you looked at Eurowall sliders? When we built in 2021 we looked at both and Eurowall was a better value (equal quality at a better price than Marvin). We used Marvin for all our windows.

The door layout of a larger slider should be based on how the door will be used and how the traffic flows in the house and through the sliders.

We have the following sliders ...

18'W x 10'H six panel center opening

two 12'W x 10'H four panel center opening

two 6'W x 10'H side opening

I'm glad that our most used slider, closest to the kitchen, is side opening. It is harder to close two center opening doors. We rarely open the center opening sliders in our hot/humid FL climate, except for a few days during "winter" and when entertaining a large group of people.

Plenty of "colonial" houses have sliders in the kitchen and/or family room!

We have a larger opening at 16 feet, but have four panels and love it. Each side has a locking mechanism at the bottom so you can easily keep one fixed or lock it when closing the doors. It isn’t remotely hard to close them at all.
