Small spaces don't like sectionals.

Many of the designers who post here don't like them either.

The best thing to do is to measure the sectional. Then I would make a template from old newspapers or new craft paper the size of the sectional. Put that template in your room.

No is the simple answer. Setionals are always the most expensive way to buy the least number of comfy seats and also IMO a huge black thing in that space would be my last choice. A smaller scaled sofa and maybe 2 chairs and in lighter color . If you want drpes then make them at least 2.5 x aswide as the rods .Some good lighting will work miracles too.

Based on the photos you do not have the room to fit a sectional and have the room look balanced. Sure, you can shoehorn it in there, but why would you want to have a cramped looking living room?

Your sofa looks like it's in good condition, so consider changing the pillows, add new curtains and add a coffee table. A sectional will for sure limit your living space.

Room is dark, already feels crowded and adding a large dark sectional, will only add to these issues. Your concerns regarding cluttering and functionality are very valid.

How much seating do you require, is a tv in room, are you willing to paint a lighter color so room doesn’t feel as small. If you could provide the room’s floor plan/dimensions. First decide on the layout and then look for appropriately sized furniture.

You don't have the counter overhang or height for bar stools to give good function. If you take them out the bar counter won't appear worse. We don't have a measured floorplan. Maybe that counter can be removed. Your sectional space can get larger and be dedicated to the everyday things you'll do. You can use the large ottoman as a table and for lounging in conjunction with the sectional chaise as you use your laptop or watch tv.

If you make a scale drawing different furniture pieces in scale can be moved around.

I’m the biggest sectional fan on this site and even I’m a no for one in that small space.

Storage ottoman for a coffee table and maybe one or two on the sides of the tv unit.

Are you convinced yet that a sectional would eat up all of your living space? If not, use some blue tape and tape out the space for it.

Thanks for all of your inputs. I have added more lighting. I only added the photo to give more of a visual. As the A.I. rendering wasnt showing my actual pieces. I Measured and taped it out. It would take up the same length as my current couch, if I configured it in front of the tv with the long side in front of the bar stools. FYI I plan on removing the TV console and having it mounted and removing the table behind the loveseat and ottoman. I just don't want two pieces anymore and want something a bit more cozy. I appreciate the inputs.

I'd try it without the bar stools because they need enough space to pass by them as they get pulled out in use. And you don't have that space especially if you place the long side of the sectional parallel to the bar. Take away the stools and the bar height counter segment will still fulfill its main purpose of hiding and separating the kitchen from the living space when there isn't enough total space for open plan with traditional furniture arrangements.

This is more compact and still cozy to lounge on. Use a tray on the ottoman for snacks and even meals for yourself.

Keep in mind, with 4K pixel density tv these days, the minimum viewing distance is 5-6 feet for a 85" tv.

Also, yourbar stools don’t look to be the proper sitting height for your raised bar. I think

they’re meant to be at a counter height bar.
