decor wallpaper help

I have a bedroom that isn’t my style. It has a seating area and bedroom part. The previous owner added Greek columns to separate the 2 areas and removing them is complicated.
So, I need to make them work. I added wall paper to the ceiling and I like it.
Now, I want to redo the seating area. What are your thoughts on this mockup? Does the wallpaper look good or is it too busy?

    NO.?: )

First, nobody cares your mock up. We care what you have, in pictures that can be seen and in daylight.

Show the whole entire bedroom as is. Show the sitting area as is. In daylight with window coverings open. Lots of pictures, all angles, in daylight and come back with Jpegs all and no screen shots.

They can't be enlarged on a computer.

The mock up is awful and really emphasizes the columns, which you don’t like.

It would be helpful to see the rest of the room, your furniture, and bedding.

I’d have painted the entire room - walls, ceiling, trim, columns the same flat, saturated color so that the columns visually disappear.

What do you intend to do with this sitting area? Do you think you will really sit there? If so, what time of day? What furniture does the space need?

Is it better as an office, dressing room, workout area? Could you hang curtains, leaving only the doorway open and covering the columns?

All Commentors are asking for pictures of the ENTIRE space.

Here is how to post a Design Dilemma to get the best results. (Post only one thread on same Dilemma. You can add photos to original thread.) You need to show the whole space—all four sides of an entire space—even if it’s about one specific Dilemma. Commenters need to see doorways, windows, closets, finishes throughout the space to make informed suggestions. In open spaces, Commentors need to see adjacent spaces like living, dining, family room areas that adjoin a kitchen. This is so finishes like cabinetry, paint, and flooring harmonize in the whole space.

If were judging by mock ups the 2nd one you posted is much better.

Real pics of the space as it is . IMO if you hate the columns now adding wallpaer behind them will make them even more of a feature and sorry but those 2 wallpapers never in the same spac e. You keep making those pillars the star why not just bite the bullet and rip them out or let them be the star with better furniture to suit them

Some small final touches are still required and removal of a heavy stone table.
